World of Coffee is one of the top specialty coffee trade shows, which offers the opportunity to meet customers and suppliers in person and strengthen relationships with them. It is also a unique chance to see the latest trends and innovations in the industry. The Coffeedesk team attends World of Coffee each year as a strategic move to maintain and strengthen our market position, allowing us to develop our offer for B2B clients, particularly those in the HoReCa industry.

What’s new in the coffee world?
World of Coffee gathers producers and sellers of coffee and coffee accessories, making it a great opportunity for presenting new products to a wide audience. The brands go above and beyond to get ready with their latest offerings before the trade show. Strolling around the booths, you’re sure to spot updated models of coffee equipment, new colours and novel innovations. We are on the lookout for them throughout the whole event, while also taking a close look on the results of the Best New Product – a competition organised each year by Specialty Coffee Association.
Best New Products
SCA grants awards in a few categories. This year, the most important award, that is Consumer Coffee Preparation & Serving, went to Fellow and their Aiden Precision Coffee Maker – a groundbreaking filter coffee machine, soon to be available at Coffeedesk. There’s a separate category for specialty non-coffee beverages – last year, the award went to specialty cacao beans; this year’s winner is DRYK Pea Barista – a pea milk alternative. DRYK is a Danish brand of plant-based drinks created out of concern for the climate. What we love about this brand is that farmers who supply oat or pea for the production of this non-milk are the company’s partial shareholders! DRYK’s credibility and, most importantly, the top quality of their products have continually earned them growing trust from their customers.
SCA also awards exquisite coffee additives and coffee accessories – this year’s respective winners are Sweetbird Popcorn Syrup and Vibra Tamper. The complete list of 2024 winners is available on the World of Coffee website.
Coffeedesk Team in Copenhagen
Our purchasing team attended World of Coffee 2024 to discover new innovations that could enhance our offerings. Additionally, we sent our sales representatives to focus on networking, building relations and getting to know new players in the industry. We’ve asked them to share their experiences.
Agnieszka Sankiewicz, Sales Team Representative:
World of Coffee in Copenhagen has been the first coffee trade show I attended. I’m new to the sales, so taking part in World of Coffee was especially exciting for me. It was a fantastic opportunity to finally meet the people I work with daily. For me, meeting our business partners in person is a significant step forward in our collaboration. Another advantage of participating in a trade show is the chance to acquire new clients. Even a brief conversation and the exchange of business cards can start a long-standing and meaningful collaboration. Such events have an all-positive vibe: people are very friendly, optimistic and full of smiles. I don’t think I saw a single person without a smile! Despite being on our feet for many hours and obviously feeling tired, we left World of Coffee with new contacts, a great attitude and a large boost of energy.
Kamil Kwietniewski, Business Development Manager:
World of Coffee, held this year in Copengahen, is a unique event – a meeting point for the entire coffee industry. It’s a perfect opportunity to connect with current suppliers and to discover new, interesting products for our customers. The trade show features all the innovative products in our industry. At this event, I had a chance to sample an impressive array of delicious coffees. One particularly intriguing product was cacao beans brewed like coffee. I also came across a few interesting chai producers. Highlights included the presentation of SYNC system by La Marzocco and Hemro, the producer of Mahlkönig grinders. I also had the opportunity to see the OMNIA grinder, an updated version of the EK43 model. One of the most important meetings for me was with the producer of DRYK plant-based drinks. Their pea drink was awarded the Best New Product title, which is a huge honour. In addition to the World of Coffee trade show, I also attended the La Marzocco Partner Summit, which provided insight into the upcoming initiatives planned by the producer of these coffee machines. The entire event was incredibly inspiring and I can’t wait for these new innovations to be included in our offer.
Rafał Aleksin, Category Manager, Buyer
At Coffeedesk, we are striving to provide our customers with comprehensive solutions that help them serve the highest quality coffee in their establishments. In Copenhagen we successfully achieved our B2B purchasing goals, so our offer will soon feature:
1. Sync System from Mahlkönig and La Marzocco: an innovative combination of Mahlkönig E80W Grind-by-Sync grinder with La Marzocco Coffee Machine (Linea PB ABR, GB5 ABR or KB90 ABR). Through wireless synchronisation via the Mahlkönig Sync and La Marzocco Pro apps, the system automatically adjusts the size of grinding, which guarantees repetitiveness and high quality of every espresso, regardless of the barista skills. With this solution, manual adjustments are not necessary, which ensures consistency in taste and quality across different locations. It’s a perfect solution for cafés and coffee chains looking to provide their customers with the finest coffee experience.
2. Eureka Atom W 75 with Grind-by-Weight technology: a unique, cutting-edge grinder for the modern era at a great price. Eureka Atom W 75″ is a grinder with grind-by-weight technology, featuring a built-in portafilter scale that allows for precise coffee grinding until the perfect weight is achieved. The new model has a touch screen that enables recording various grind settings and offers increased productivity while simultaneously reducing power input. With its precision scale grinding and other advanced functions, Eureka Atom W 75 grinder ensures perfect coffee quality and consistency, which is key for professional cafés striving for perfection in every cup. Starting this year, our goal is to become the only contact and sales point for various HoReCa subjects, offering a comprehensive range of products and solutions to prepare the best coffee possible. From grinders and coffee machines, to accessories and support services – we want our customers to be able to purchase all they need in one place.
